@intransitivelie@beige.party Mermaids reproduce in a vampiric fashion, pulling young sailors into the water, enveloping them in sea foam to create a kind of chrysalis. In the sea chrysalis the human males undergo changes to their biological sex and their lower extremities. When they emerge, the mermaids feed them on caviar until they are strong enough to live on their own. These young mermaids have no memory of their former lives. I only know because an orca ruptured my chrysalis.
