Demands that would empower children.
1. Algorithm transparency so we can stop companies from presenting vulnerable groups to their existential adversaries just to make number go up.
2. More time for parents to spend with kids (higher minimum wage, social safety net, shorter workday, etc.) because there is no internet that is safe enough to leave a kid unattended.
3. Livable cities so Roblox doesn't feel more free/attainable than going to the park, the library, the city center, or the creek.

@coop@denton.social Yes! also under number 2, affordable child care so kids don’t get sat in front of a screen instead, and parents don’t have to work 2 jobs just to pay for child care. Also maternity leave falls under this!

@coop@denton.social these are all interesting ideas but i think that empowerment is more like...discussing media literacy, privacy threat modeling, asking kids questions about their experiences and how they would design things, what they would like us to help them with
