@sean_ae@post.lurk.org ๐Ÿ™ Apologies for a potentially annoying question, but do you remember gear you borrowed from his studio? Obvs the sounds are yours, but there's a quality to some of them that's really intriguing me. What's behind the crushed crunchy thing that comes in 6:34 especially (and how it evolves) and the stabbing glassy hits? Thanks so much for sharing. I properly enjoyed this. The way chords return and shift the feeling at the end. Such an excellent vibe. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

@Cognessence@social.linux.pizza yeah so the gear we had up there was Casio FZ10M, Roland R8, and Atari 1040 ST running C-Lab Creator (all that stuff belonged to Daz) it was a bit of a weird setup for a live set tbh, but we'd been using that stuff in his studio for a bit and he asked us to do a set so we were like ok, let's have a go doing it this way the low res acid bit is a 202 running really fast at a high octave, sampled and pitched right down, i think we did that on the SK-1 but could have been the SK-5 (we used to do similar things with the RSD-10 a lot) there's a few other bits on there we made with our gear, eg one bit i can here that's a 202 and MS-10 - we just had samples of those bits playing on the FZ-10M the big stabby snare thing is off an old hip hop track - The Manipulator by Mixmaster Gee
