For the first time ever? tonight some Mormons rang our doorbell. Well we're introverts so never answer the door unless we are expecting a visitor of course. Part of me really wished I had answered the door so I could explain to them that god(s) is/are as real as the tooth fairy and why are they wasting their time bothering people. @nomdeb@mstdn.social Here (UK) door knockers mostly respect the very common notices we put up telling people not to call on us unless it's a delivery etc. I think that Mormons may have given up on door to door calls in England as I never see them except in town centres. The JWs still go out but are tilting towards static proselytes in markets and around bus & train stations ( I think I read that the younger JWs are refusing to go door knocking because of abuse). On one hand I'm glad these people are out there trying to remind people that there might be a spiritual dimension to some lives, but on the other hand they are seriously annoying in their one track blinkered view of what faith is.
