Everyone wants FOSS maintainers to work on shit by hand, thanklessly fixing bugs and especially security bugs immediately for decades, propping up something they need for work, for enthusiast use, etc. No one wants to pay them a damn dime to do it though. You ever stop to think about how fucked up and entitled that is?

I used to get death threats for bugs in Charybdis in my PM's on IRC. This regularly fucking happens to software maintainers.
