A software emulation of the Doubletalk PC is now available as an NVDA addon. A build of the project can be found at https://datajake.braillescreen.net/TTS/SynthesizersForNVDA/doubletalkpc.nvda-addon.

@datajake1999@dragonscave.space So, I'm genuinely curious. What is it about these old synthesizers that makes people want to use them? Why would anyone want something that makes speech sound unclear and robotic? ESpeak doesn't count as the speech is clear and descernable rather than strenuous to hear.
