@stacey_campbell@aus.social I'm 67 and was vaccinated in the early 60's.
Based on the updated recommendation, I got one of the new vaccines last year, to be as sure as possible I'm protected.
For me, because there is reasonable doubt as to the long-term efficacy of the original vaccine I received, anything less would be irresponsible and unnecessarily risky.
If in doubt, get vaccinated, especially when traveling to where there's an active, spreading outbreak.
Protect others, if not yourself.

@ricardoharvin@mstdn.social Whelp, my hospital system's appointments app was definitely struggling with booking an MMR vaccine for a 63 year old. System: Why do you need an appointment? Me: Vaccine for travel. System: To which international plague spot will you be traveling? Me: Utah System: Scram. Ultimately a phone call to a real human got the sitch sorted out and I just lined up with a bunch of babies to get my very first MMR vaccine. (j/k, no babies to be seen)
