Where IS tornado alley now? I spent the first 31 years of my life in Norman OK. At the time it was the heart of a narrow strip considered to be tornado alley running north/south through central Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska. The National Severe Storms Lab was next door to my high school. (It's still in Norman, but now in a fancy new building south of the OU campus.)
But I've read the highest concentration of tornadoes is trending more east and north these days. Where would you locate?

@donaldham@mstdn.social @machias@mstdn.social I was in Illinois in the 1970s, and always thought we were part of tornado alley. We certainly had enough tornadoes and near-tornadoes each year.
