In the iconic sci-fi movie Blade Runner, the Nexus 6 Replicant Rachael says she didn't know if she could play piano. She remembered lessons, but she wasn't sure if it was the memory of her or her creator's niece or what. And then she plays like it's NBD. What I would give for a few years of implanted lessons lol.

BTW sorry not sorry for spoilers. Call yourself a sci-fi nerd.

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange My friend, lessons don't necessarily *take*. After five *years* of weekly piano lessons, I cannot play piano. I can touch type, though. Both qwerty and ten-key. So it's obviously a musical deficit rather than lack of dexterity. The typing and piano lessons overlapped — I started piano in third grade and typing in fifth grade (on a manual typewriter, because I'm a #boomer and legally #blind).

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Give it another 50-80 years of progress and, if we don't destroy ourselves meanwhile, it will become reality.
