As a non-NYer, you don't really understand pizza disparity between NY and the rest of the world until you go to a random no-name restaurant in NYC and order a pizza- and its the greatest pizza you've ever had in your life. Literally recall sitting there with my bro and both of us were about to start crying because we both knew there were a million places in NYC that had better pizza and this was probably considered passable to the locals

Thinking about how Bandcamp really never did much to help with discoverability. Their features also *mostly* don't do much for an artist unless they are already doing the pre-release promo grind or already have a significant following behind them. Like I'm forever grateful that Bandcamp exists, but it just sorta stopped progressing after a few years and I feel like we all kinda got psyoped into being comfortbale with it. In some ways it's become as toxic as Spotify.

I get conflicted about infosec.exchange- there's a lot of good tooters on there that I find pretty invaluable and would not have discovered if not seeing them relayed into my feed. However there's a plethora of CVE bots and it's truly a nightmare. Muting them all is getting annoying. I'd set the restriction for infosec to "limit" but then I'm going to miss stuff I do actually want to see. wat do #mastoadmin

Finally told DistroKid I'm going to contact local representatives if they don't help me fix this years long issue with my music being sent to the wrong YouTube channel. Not sure what else to do since DistroKid and Google both refuse to help.

Weird issue I can't figure out. I want a follow a user who is on c.im, but it says I have their instance blocked. I don't have their instance blocked. However there is another instance I block that contains "c.im" but is an entirely different instance. The only thing I can conclude is some weird crossover here is happening? I thought maybe I was misreading and the instance was blocking mine, but I can see my posts there just fine. #mastoadmin

Thoughts so far- Bandwagon - Federated. Cool. Open source. Cool. Easy to setup payments. Quick fedistribution (??) with indie beat. Track-by-track upload is a pain, but other than that its great. Mirlo - Federated. Cool. Open source. Cool. Easy to upload files in batch and not much work to fill out track data. Feature wise has the most potential I think. Subvert - Not federated.
