Good grief, with those masks is it Hallowe'en already? "Roses" - Haywoode Sharp disco song, a chorus that hooks its way into your brain and never leaves. I expect to have this running through my head tomorrow morning, and won't be sorry. Not the greatest miming, Haywoode is out of sync throughout and - with this being a live edition - no chance of a reshoot. Not sure about Sid and Doris Klodhauper on stage behind her, either. Deserved better than this performance, and she might have done something better while in #TOTP dance troupe Zoo. #Haywoode

"Papa don't preach" - Madonna. Still number one, still resolutely sending videos. "Sun street" - Katrina and the Waves. A song about the uses and abuses of alcohol, with a video taking the mick out of soap operas, it's almost as easy to sing along with as last year's "Walking on sunshine". The band had so many near misses in the second half of the 80s - "Is that it?" off current album Waves, "Do you want crying" and "Going down to Liverpool" from last year's eponymous album, "That's the way" and "Rock 'n' roll girl" from Break of Hearts. We did get to see them again, welcomed back like all-conquering heroes. #TOTP #KatrinaAndTheWaves
