"Papa don't preach" - Madonna. Still number one, still resolutely sending videos.
"Sun street" - Katrina and the Waves.
A song about the uses and abuses of alcohol, with a video taking the mick out of soap operas, it's almost as easy to sing along with as last year's "Walking on sunshine".
The band had so many near misses in the second half of the 80s - "Is that it?" off current album Waves, "Do you want crying" and "Going down to Liverpool" from last year's eponymous album, "That's the way" and "Rock 'n' roll girl" from Break of Hearts.
We did get to see them again, welcomed back like all-conquering heroes.

Our second #TOTP Mystery Year was 1986. Performance of the night? Hollywood Beyond. Go to sleep, BBC4, you've got prog progs next. More fun on BBC2 tomorrow, with tributes to Bonnie Tyler and lots of memories from 2002. Also pleased to see the one and only Force Captain Adora will have a go at BBC1's The Hit List. I'm out again next week, so miss loads of good stuff. 8.30 for two from 2000 and two Mystery Years. Whatever you're doing for the next fortnight, have a great one!
