Breakers! "Fight for ourselves" - Spandau Ballet, their big comeback single featured the band in a crowd, and bouncers perving over women in the toilets. The groom's brother's strumpet would approve. "Find the time" - Five Star, projected onto some of London's landmarks, such as Tower Bridge! Westminster Palace! The Hangar Lane Gyratory System! "Some candy talking" - The Jesus and Mary Chain, in black-and-white-and-purple. The shaking camera might be intended to mimic heroin addiction, which this song certainly wasn't about. Yes, of *course* they're playing the highest new entry. #TOTP

Good grief, with those masks is it Hallowe'en already? "Roses" - Haywoode Sharp disco song, a chorus that hooks its way into your brain and never leaves. I expect to have this running through my head tomorrow morning, and won't be sorry. Not the greatest miming, Haywoode is out of sync throughout and - with this being a live edition - no chance of a reshoot. Not sure about Sid and Doris Klodhauper on stage behind her, either. Deserved better than this performance, and she might have done something better while in #TOTP dance troupe Zoo. #Haywoode
