@cap_ybarra@beige.party @rupert@mastodon.nz My bubble is in Canuck Texas. The O&G sector here is sacrosanct as much as a state religion can be. That Generative AI/LLM uses extensive power and water resources, damages the environment and runs roughshod over law and mores alike are all features that makes it the second coming in the eye of populist government and their supporters. That it can be used to further entrench the prevailing O&G industry, it adds another head to the hydra of our self destructive collective identity.
