What's the best terminal emulator on Debian, and why? I'm struggling to find a really good reason to use anything other than Gnome Terminal. I've been on iTerm2 for the last decade (on MacOS), so I'm looking for something maybe in that realm. The popular Debian alternatives seem cool, but also not really anything that I need. Like give me a strong reason not to just use Gnome Terminal.

@paulshryock@phpc.social honestly on linux i always just used xterm, unless i was in that mood to use the super retro one that looked like a cathode ray tube. i use iterm2 on mac as well but so many things pissed me off that i had to disable that its basically just xterm now too.

@paulshryock@phpc.social I'm with you on this, here is a default, I can open it randomly with a keybinding wherever I am, why do I need anything else? It's more about customising the prompt rather than the program running the prompt I reckon
