This zine is really good and informative and kind of timely for me, as it turns out 😅 (Yes, I posted some of this advice myself earlier and I theoretically knew better; I still ran afoul of some mild issues caused, apparently, by falling behind a bit on maintenance. Doing okay now.) https://transhealthuk.noblogs.org/navigating-uk-trans-healthcare/my-clit-hurts/

@i_cannot_today@beige.party My own personal experience: I've been on monotherapy from the beginning, so no blockers. I've gone through periods of not really bothering to have erections, and those have seemed to cause some reduction in my ability to have erections. I wouldn't get hard as quickly, I might not get hard enough for penetration at all. Most of that would go away once I went back to having regular erections, though I think I've lost some length and girth overall. But recently, I went through a period where I completely missed my estrogen injections for weeks in a row (executive function issues, coupled with stress and depression), and during that period, erections started to _hurt_. At the worst point, having an erection while naked and not touching it in any way was uncomfortable but bearable, while having an erection constrained by clothes or trying to move it (not even like masturbating, just using my hand to hold it at a different angle) was painful. I don't know if this was a sign of T coming back and trying to achieve more erection than the remaining tissue would support or what, but thankfully I was able to get back to my regular injection schedule, and the pain has gone away. (I've also been trying to have maintenance erections, which may have helped 🤷‍♀️)
