People often say Mastodon is confusing because they don’t know what server to join. I’ve found it to be the opposite. My server is almost immaterial. My feed is who I chose to follow just like twitter was before they ruined it with algorithms.
But I always feel like I’m missing something when people talk about what server they’re on. It all is essentially the same once I follow that person. 100% of my Mastodon usage is via Ivory.
Am I missing something?

@jsatk@sfba.social yeah, I never look at the local or federated feed, I just follow who I follow on the home feed.
