@adarsh@ruby.social @jsatk@sfba.social one thing often brought up in this context is moderation. A server comes with a moderation team. They deal with spam from other servers, federation with other servers, and, of course, enforce server rules. It’s not a deciding factor for me because I run my own instance and I’m always in agreement with my moderation team, who is me. But it might be important, especially for people who might be a target of online harassment.
