Prices for vintage computers are crazy... If I would have start my collection today I could also buy a yacht or two... Most of my stuff I found on fleemarkets or Ebay in the late 1990s and early 2000s. I paid 5DM for an Amiga or C64, even the Unix workstations like my SGIs never exceeded 50 Euros and only if complete with monitor and peripherals. I wonder how many machines have death by Varta because some idiot doesn't give it to someone who cares, but can't afford such prices. Those prices are absolutely not reflecting the true value of the systems, it's pure speculation. #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing #collection
