@johanna@lgbtqia.space Your brother is an idiot with even more idiots jokes, never joke on people's suicide.
I know it's harsh to say this way but... "I learned to care only up to a certain point".
If I cared for everything shitty happening in the world at large I'd suicide tomorrow if not already today, so I simply shrug it off, I keep an eye on things at various depths depending on how close they are to me, but past that... I for sure don't ruin my day every day thinking "omg UK is really transphobic, trans people really are having a hard time" I'm sorry but nothing I can do for someone sitting in another country in another world and for sure being depressed is not going to help them but is for sure helping trans haters. The best counter to them is showing that we thrive even against all they throw us.
It's a matter of my mental sanity and there is a right to say "this is enough I don't want to know more/to shoulder more".

@AlexInBlue@lgbtqia.space my brother and I are very close and we make risque jokes to each other all the time so this was a joke with a sentiment that I appreciated. Totally understand if it doesn't come off that way out of context though Yeah I'm working on limiting my caring at a healthy point because otherwise I know it'll just overwhelm me. Still feels odd to push out thoughts that I think are important for my own sake though
