The whole bulk 3€ customs fee per item group story that the EU now enforces on foreign packages makes me extremely angry. This essentially kills hobby electronics. I haven't ordered at Mouser or DigiKey in a while and I don't know how they are affected right now, but still: The whole idea is so fucking braindead. Instead of just getting rid of the 150€ customs free limit, they do this. I now have to make sure to order more than 150€ to get to pay "proper" customs fees which are 0% on electronic parts. And then hope that the seller doesn't split packages up. If they do, you pay 3€ bulk PER ITEM GROUP. As I said: 100% braindead. You know what? Fuck the EU! I hate this club more every day for a while now. Shit like enforcing USB-C as a charging standard does not alleviate this, the lobbyism, corruption and surveillance phantasies.
