    From the &amp;quot;how could this ever work&amp;quot; department, TIL: OpenSSL also uses the supplied CA pool for completing client chains if necessary (and many tools don&amp;#39;t really allow you to distinguish between the two, so you end up having to put in client intermediates into the pool that is used to verify server certs. Not much of a problem if your PKI is sane, but still unelegant)

    Currently using an iOS device again until a new Android phone arrives tomorrow and it’s amazing how cleanly this seems to split the population. iOS is absolutely *infuriating* to use for me to the point that I’m cursing out loud all the time. It’s exactly the same with Android for some of my friends.

    Any recommendations for (outdoor) security cameras with night vision that I can just firewall off into a VLAN with no internet access or even better have FOSS aftermarket firmware? Everything I can find that ticks the latter mark in particular is unobtainium in Germany apparently

    This Quectel GNSS receiver booted up reporting 31°18&amp;#39;22.7&amp;quot;N 120°31&amp;#39;30.7&amp;quot;E as the location. I wonder if this is where the EOL test happened or if it&amp;#39;s some random default somebody set. (Or the middle ground: The random position somebody put into their test signal generator)
