It will surprise absolutely no one that Apple’s HomeKit, Shortcuts and Night Shift features all have wildly different ideas about what time “sunset” is.

Related: someone on a different network suggested that it might be caused by metric vs. imperial sunset timing, and I’m embarrassed by how long I thought about that before realising.
