The kitchen knife would be an 8 inch one, the santoku would go 5-6in depending on the pattern and the filet about 6in. If I did a pairing knife instead of filet it'd go around 3-4in

Considering the other knives would be more or less the same to me in my application as it sits, it may be better to go with a paring knife as the third one. Of course I can always order more so the point is more or less moot.
