Holy shit, I think the metal frame attached to the back of the keyboard is hugely important to the structural integrity of the top case/palmrest on the Latitude 5430. :neofox_shocked:
Mostly plastic construction, but at least it's very modular.

Sidenote - Laptops that are designed such that you can remove the main board without having to remove the heatsink and re-apply thermal paste are the fucking best!
