No wonder this 7420 was running like shit with the fan going brrrrr all the time. The thermal paste had completely solidified. :neofox_x_x:

Hell, my 5440 is only a couple of years old, and I found the thermal paste in the same state when I went to disassemble and clean it. Seems like Dell's thermal paste doesn't stay goopy that long. Almost as if slowing the computer down over time is an incentive to upgrade.
