Hell, my 5440 is only a couple of years old, and I found the thermal paste in the same state when I went to disassemble and clean it.
Seems like Dell's thermal paste doesn't stay goopy that long.
Almost as if slowing the computer down over time is an incentive to upgrade.

Had a quick sidequest to rebuild the bootloader partition on my portable Arch SSD, but now I've got it booted and am running Geekbench 6. I have a result from before I did any sort of cleaning, so it'll be interesting to see how different it is, if at all.
