Not a huge difference, but there is a slight improvement.
Though, I can't remember if that last result was post-cleaning of a machine that needed a disassembly and visual inspection due to USB-C port issues. That would've needed new thermal paste too. Might have to grab another 7420 and test.

I grabbed another 7420 that was pretty grody. Took it apart after my break, removed the heatsink, and it was also solid. Almost stuck like cheap glue. I ran a 'before' Geekbench test, and it was ~200 points lower for the single-core score, but the multi-core score was right about on par with the others. Gonna run an 'after' test on this machine once I get it re-assembled. Just gotta re-connect a few more things and re-install the battery.
