A musician on Facebook could showcase their music, interact with their fans, keep them informed about concerts and releases, livestream etc.
Now a musician on Facebook are not even able to send information to those who have said the wanted to see it.
Soundcloud was a nice way to host music online. You could send a link, people could check it out etc.
Now you get bombarded with "sign up to this and that or you are not able to skip around in the track".

@PersonM@dresden.network @incentive@mastodon.circlewithadot.net I replaced Soundcloud with Faircamp. Much easier to use for the user, but harder to set up for the musician. It was within my skills, but many people don't know how to host their own stuff. Facebook I replaced with a combination of website, newsletter, rss, Mastodon and Owncast. Hetzner supplied a premade image for Owncast that made it within reach for me at the time. etc. etc. etc.
