I recently spoke to Adrian Weckler for the Irish Independent on an article outlining the #cybersecurity concerns around the new Irish Government Digital Wallet

@brianhonan@mastodon.social looks like what happens when a state wallet ships with no accountable security owner. Who is an authority who can say "absence of fraud controls" is an unacceptable launch condition? This is the "absence of o-ring controls" lesson from nobody stopping the space shuttle count-down to disaster. Everyone knew o-ring erosion was a problem, but the authority to hold a launch was captured, instead of independent. I'm submitting a formal critique of another EU wallet if you ever want to compare notes.
