I don't know of your claim is correct without verification, I fear though it's not -- if you mean Co2 in general, it's different perhaps if you mean non-gas particles.
Beside that I don't understand the sudden limitation to Co2, GHGs are more than that.

And you point out transport etc but again it's the combustion in tankers, train and trucks that transport. There are emissions froM NG exploration as methane gets released but again minor compared. Chemical processes that use fossil fuels I'm not sure about but it would mostly be in the preparation using, you guessed it combustion.
