But you know, I also appreciate helping carry the weight of your grief, the worry about a loved one, the concern for how you will find the strength to move forward in the world. I don’t think there are any billionaires here, but I’m happy to contribute a bit when I can to easing your passage in the world knowing many others will help too. It’s hard to see so many struggling, the inherent unfairness of the world. But seeing the hands and heart open to helping is a balm.

@IcooIey@mastodon.green Well said and well put. And seconded! This often strikes me, how good people on Mastodon are at noticing things. Like, the little things - someone shared a photo of a snail on a pavement the other day because they'd noticed the snail's trail had drawn a perfect wee heart. A tiny detail many would not have noticed in passing. I appreciate all my neighbours in the Fediverse who brighten my day with unsung 'little' things in the world that they notice and share.
