I might revist both churches if they are open again to check the frescoes out in different lighting. Hard to check them out all at once due to the sheer square footage. There is another church which is only open on Tuesdays on request that also looks interesting.

The many intact rock cut graves and masoleums in the area have yielded many treasures for the local museum, including quite the collection of ceramic statuary and jewelry. There are also some pretty artifacts from some neolithic sites nearby. One of the sites dates to the 7th millennium BC. There are also Hellenic and Roman busts galore. Worth the 5 Euros for a gander and a break from the heat.
