The 344 returns to peaceful setting after Carillon and St-André. The lat picture is the tree at Montée des Anglais. That tree so engrained in my mind that I never noticed it was gone. (checking on Street view). I giess my braisn synthetizes it when I bike that road.

In a somewhat culmination, one evenually climbs up to Oka to get THE voew wjhere on a good day, you see the Venetans hospotal on the Island of Montrea and if lucky Mont Ropyal at a distance. Having biked from Vancouver, this was a big accomplishement. The forest in picture 2 because the point of the Mowhaks defending their territory from the Oka mayor wanting to expand his golf course onto their land, and there was the Canadian Army right at that spot.
