@emily@fedi.uni.horse I have made that exact repair more than once. ok not with that particular connector footprint, but "usb connector ripped off the board" in general. These days I usually slap a bit of loctite 6309 on them as soon as I stuff the board so I have some reinforcement

got some bodge wires attached, went to grab a usb cable to splice onto them first one I cut open was power-only second one was also power-only so was the third one on the FOURTH attempt I finally found one that had all four wires in it the good news is they have all been cut up and I will no longer attempt to use them
