This next paragraph also betrays confusion on the part of the author as to what they are describing. AlphaFold and GNoME (called LLMs above) aren't chatbots and so don't provide the kind of output that is called or experienced as "sycophantic".

Also, although synthetic text is never a good idea, this particular type of synthetic text (the sycophantic type) results from specific design decisions rather than any inherent properties of LLMs. >>
