Itll still get a little darker as it hardens but the tung oil on the Garand stock turned out DAMN good. I would never use anything but raw linseed on an original, but I like the way this turned out more than the look of the originals. It should be more durable too since tung oil is much more forgiving of scratches and dings when it hardens. My stock had a scuff from the factory that kind of makes me want to add more dings and "character" so it doesn'tstand out, but that may be hard now lol.
