My current obsession being listening to the Genesis album Foxtrot, I really love the track ‘Horizons’ (*really*, like play-at-my-funeral love), but it has a familiarity I couldn’t put my finger on.
Found out it was ‘heavily inspired’ by Bach’s Prelude from Suite No 1 in G Major for solo cello.

Did I say I really like it? The album ‘Foxtrot’ is seen as a seminal work of prog rock, and ‘Horizons’ is almost too ‘straight’ to be included. But it works and I’m glad it’s in there, it acts as a bit of a palate cleanser between the seriousness of the albums first act and the madness that is ‘Supper’s Ready’
