@Logical_Error@fosstodon.org AI morality aside, does this require the kernels to be packaged in pmOS? It sounds like you're just using the source code as reference which doesn't require any packaging?

@newbyte@mastodon.nu sometimes it has been faster/useful running the downstream kernel to get values directly, even if the source code is there. i use the cyanogenmod img instead of the pmOS downstream (iirc that no longer compiles) but i assume that the downstream pkg would come in similar use for others i assume the original question was posed due to maintenance burdens? if so, it might be useful to store build artifacts & pkgs instead of maintaining the pkg, unless someone fixes it up
