nice john oliver did a video about privacy. mainly focuses on flock, but references eff and the general slide into a dystopian surveillance state https://youtu.be/lnBPhelCdWE funny how motorola provides police gear but also partners with grapheneOS for a privacy phone… somethings fishy there lol

#solar #electricity: is there a DC standard to use in homes instead of AC? since solar panels and batteries are getting cheap, it seems like it makes sense to get rid of the inverter in all devices (only necessary for connecting to the grid) i wonder if there would be a worldwide standard to DC systems in homes if its ever formalized

a way to install linux without a usb drive https://github.com/rltvty2/ulli very interesting! just double click an exe file and install linux would be interesting if #bazzite or @linuxmint offered exe programs that does this type of install
