Let’s do some math… feeding a person 2,000 calories a day over 20 years is about 15 million calories or 18Kwh… or the power required to run one of the gigawatt data centers for 0.007 seconds

@dpp That is of course assuming you are running one AI. 1 Gwh / 18 Kwh is 55,556 AIs that must run on a datacenter before you meet break even between a human caloric consumption and a AI energy input.

@dpp So it doesn't change the intention of the post much, but food "calories" are actually kilocalories. It works out to around 17_MWh_.
