Weird Pi failure mode.

@jwz@mastodon.social it's not clear to me, that even though you have the problem with a clean O/S install, you've flashed the firmware on the Pi itself ? rpi-eeprom-update is the tool to both do this and check current vs running versions

@jwz@mastodon.social wait, so it permanently does this after the power failure? That’s weird. I’m not speculating, I’m commiserating that the pi 4 has some of the flakiest video hardware I’ve ever experienced. However, the issues I’ve seen don’t match what you have described
