@jwz@mastodon.social it's not clear to me, that even though you have the problem with a clean O/S install, you've flashed the firmware on the Pi itself ?
rpi-eeprom-update is the tool to both do this and check current vs running versions

@falken@qoto.org Firmware was already current but forcing a reflash of 1779045198/000138c0 did nothing.
