Unfortunately not. Cool and wet are their natural niche, so they are not in a good place this year. Like most plants, seed-ripening acts as feedback to stop new flowers. Difficult to come back from.
The dedicated get up at 05:00 every day to harvest in the cool air. Blow that.

@lionelb@expressional.social before my holiday I was harvesting 3000 stems a week and the parish was awash with bunches of them. Sadly my mate’s weren’t quite so committed to the cause when I was away so I’m now cutting the pods - many quite ready I think. I can’t see any reason not to try again so I will!
