There’s this politeness in whiteness that we expect from people outside of it that has to die.
Dear fellow white people: we aren’t the decorum police.
The thing we criticize the most in the GOP: the need to control everyone but themselves, we also do in all of the rules we unevenly apply to others.
Let people live.

@kpl@social.lol especially true in the South. I love my southern roots, but Southern Hospitality is very often a way to shut people up in the types of situations you’re talking about
