Buzzing noise and faulty vertical generator. The line moves up and down so the HV circuit probably works, and I can hear the flyback too. Maybe it will be an easy repair?

@gorplop@pleroma.m68k.church The flyback is related to horizontal deflection (everyone leaves the room ;] ) Vert deflection issues are usually either solder joints or a dry AC coupling capacitor to the amp. "it works when I smack it" -> solder joint "it works after it warms up" -> capacitor (electrolytic) "it works when before its warmed up" -> semiconductor problem. The capacitor in the middle of the horse-shoe shaped heatsink will be shot. The 'organic' caps, with the translucent jackets, will be shot. good luck!
