I just saw somebody mention a project they had started six years ago and I thought to myself, "I remember that!" Then I stopped for a second, marvelling at how long I've been hanging out on this platform. And my blog has the answer:

@alex@social.alexschroeder.ch Huh, I also created my first Mastodon account, also on octodon.social, at about the same time: 2017-04-05. To me the last straw on Twitter was its change to treat likes of popular tweets as boosts so filling my timeline with stuff not in the intersection of my interests and those of people I followed.
