@alex@social.alexschroeder.ch Huh, I also created my first Mastodon account, also on octodon.social, at about the same time: 2017-04-05.
To me the last straw on Twitter was its change to treat likes of popular tweets as boosts so filling my timeline with stuff not in the intersection of my interests and those of people I followed.

@edavies@functional.cafe I must have stopped actively using Twitter around 2012 because Google+ took over all the RPG discourse I was interested in. That left Twitter for news and it was depressing back then, too. So after a while I just stopped going there. And I finally deleted it all in 2018.
