I often have the tv on as background sound to cover obnoxious traffic noise. Natty Geo channel is showing shark attack shows all day….
I’m not particularly interested in sharks. But I haven’t been in the ocean since I saw the movie Jaws in the theater, and I like to get some validation now and then that I am smart and make wise decisions.

@CatsWander@mastodon.social I hear you. But I think I read that the reason why they do the shark weeks are to promote that they are vulnerable and need understanding. If I got that right, it seems very noble.
