Because I don't know about you, but when I get to a new cityfirst I only want to know if I can tap and go.
If I have time I might look up fare zones. I might have looked up general directions. But Contactless or Not is my #1 question ( https://contactlessornot.com )
and then Express Mode / Transit Mode because I don't wanna look like a dummy if it's not supported.

@jeremyburge "Not accepted at transit gates." Captain, there are no gates in Berlin that could accept cards.

@jeremyburge the China cities seem a little inaccurate, considering you need a Chinese bank card to be able to top up the subway transit card in the Wallet app. The only way you get contactless is if you sign up for an Alipay account. Yes, downloading a whole app just to use the transit system. Then even with that app, it is not tap, it is you having to open up the app, then navigating to show the QR code, and then having the door scan your phone screen. Ridiculously cumbersome
